The Epic Games Store is revealing the free games users will be able to claim on October 6, while creating two more titles up for grabs.

The Epic Games Store has created two more games to win for its users while confirming the gifts that will be available from October 6th. The Epic Games Store typically gives users two free games a week, running them on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. CT. This week is no exception, as Epic Games Store users have a new pair of free games to claim while they wait for next week’s deals to roll out.

Current free games from Epic Games Store are Rainbow and The Drone Racing Leagueboth of which will be available to users until October 6 at 10:00 a.m. CT. Rainbow is a “party platformer” game that was originally released in 2015 to mostly positive reviews. It has multiplayer capabilities, so it’s a solid choice for those who need something to play with friends. The Drone Racing League, meanwhile, is a simulation game that’s exactly as the name suggests: it’s about racing drones. It also has multiplayer capabilities, so this week’s Epic Games Store free games should be well received by those who love multiplayer games.

The Epic Games Store free games from October 6-13 are two titles that seem appropriate for the Halloween season: Rise from Hell and Killed: Back from Hell. Rise from Hell is a “vertical platformer roguelite” where players are tasked with getting out of hell, while battling enemies and avoiding dangerous hazards. Rise from Hell received mostly positive reviews upon its original release earlier this year.

Epic Games Store Free Games for October 2022

  • Runbow (until October 6 at 10:00 CT)
  • The Drone Racing League (until October 6 at 10:00 CT)
  • Rising Hell (October 6 – October 13)
  • Killed: Return From Hell (October 6 – October 13)

Killed: Back from Hellmeanwhile, has had a more mixed reception, but those interested in 2D action games with gothic art styles should always be sure to check it out and see if it’s for them. Killed: Back from Hell will last around six hours according to its Epic Games Store page, which isn’t bad for a completely free game.

Once Rise from Hell and Killed: Back from Hell were added on October 6, Epic Games Store users will be notified of upcoming free games the following week. It will be interesting to see if the rest of the Epic Games Store free games for October 2022 are also Halloween-friendly, or if Epic mixes things up a bit.
