Predictions, Rumors, Leaks and More

[ad_1]

It’s that time of the month again! Later this week, we’ll find out which PS Plus Essential games will be available to subscribers in October.

Now that there are three tiers of PlayStation Plus, everything is a bit more confusing. PS Plus Essential is the base tier which includes access to online games and usually three free PS4 and PS5 games each month.

These are usually revealed on the last Wednesday of the month and then released on the first Tuesday of the following month. So we’ll learn which games make up the October lineup on Wednesday, September 28, and then on Tuesday, October 4, those games will be available.

Okay, on to the leaks, rumors and predictions.

October PS Plus leaks and rumors

Again, nothing has been leaked and not even a whiff of rumor surrounds next month’s PS Plus games. I swear, it’s been completely random lately. Some months we get a full leak a week before Sony’s official announcement which is 100% accurate. This month, not a word.

We haven’t seen a fake leak in a long time either. Every now and then someone cooks up a fake “leak” that contains great games that people want, but not for October. No tricks or treats, it seems. So let’s move on to . . .

PS Plus October Predictions

I always inject both my best guesses and wishful thinking into this section of this monthly article. There are games I’d like to see added (even though I already own them, just so others can play them too), and then there are educated guesses.

One way to make a good guess is to see what new games come out on the first Tuesday of the month. On October 4, Monitor 2 comes out but it’s already free. Alfred Hitchcock — Vertigo is also releasing on many platforms, so that’s a possibility. The only other game I can find coming out that day is Dakar Desert Rally, a racing game that could definitely be a PS Plus version.

Another way to make an educated guess is to look at what sequels are coming out soon. Sometimes, to build up the hype for a new release, an older game in the series is put on PS Plus. A Call of Duty the title might make sense given Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches on October 28.

Star Wars: Fallen Order of the Jedi is another possibility, since this game has been out for a while now and a new game in the series is on the way. There is also the Andor series streaming on Disney+ right now, and the game actually explores a similar timeline and theme.

Then there are PS5 exclusives that have been out for a while and still haven’t made it to PS Plus like Sackboy Adventures which is a monthly estimate and will remain so until it finally hits the subscription service. Ghostwire Tokyo is another possibility, although very unlikely.

Here is another possibility. Kena Bridge of Spirits, a truly wonderful adventure game, has a big ‘Anniversary Update’ coming out tomorrow (Tuesday) just a day before the big PS Plus reveal. It’s a curious moment.

Pious wish includes:

  • Sifu
  • underworld
  • Alan Wake
  • Resident Evil Village
  • The devil may cry 5
  • Deny automata
  • Cuphead
  • Some horror games would be cool.

Stay tuned. I’ll update this post if anything leaks in the next few days, and we’ll all have the answers we’re looking for by Wednesday morning.

What games would you like to see on PS Plus in October? let me know about Twitter or facebook.
